Fukuoka Tower Was Illuminated in Orange for World Patient Safety DayNEW
September 17 is World Patient Safety Day established by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Medical Safety Management Department at Kyushu University Hospital is committed to providing safe, high-quality medical care.
To mark the occasion Fukuoka Tower was illuminated in orange, the campaign color of World Patient Safety Day, for 10 minutes from 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Through this initiative, we demonstrated our hospital’s proactive commitment to medical safety to the wider community.
Although it rained intermittently that evening, the illumination went ahead as planned. The orange lights illuminating Fukuoka Tower provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of patient safety.
World Patient Safety Day is observed around the world through various awareness-raising activities that encourage people to reflect on the importance of creating an environment where patients feel safe receiving medical care.
