Infectious Disease Prevention Measures

For Patients

１．Wearing Masks

If any of the following apply to you, please wear a mask.
  1. Those with cold symptoms (such as cough, phlegm, sore throat, etc.)
  2. People who have had contact within the past week with family members, coworkers, or others who have been diagnosed with infectious diseases such as COVID-19 or the flu
  3. Those with a weakened immune system
  4. Visitors meeting patients
  5. Anyone who is advised to wear a mask based on the current infection situation

２．Important Notes for Medical Appointments (Including Visits)

If any of the following apply to you, please do not come to the hospital directly; instead, consult with the department you plan to visit before coming in for your appointment.
  1. People who have persistent cold symptoms (cough, phlegm, sore throat, etc.) and a fever of 37.5°C or higher
  2. People who have cold symptoms along with eye symptoms (such as bloodshot eyes or increased eye discharge) and a rash on their body
  3. People experiencing vomiting or diarrhea

3．About Hand Sanitizer

The foundation of infection prevention is hand hygiene (hand washing or hand sanitizing). We ask that patients and visitors practice hand hygiene when entering or leaving patient rooms, before meals, and after using the restroom.

Kyushu University Hospital is implementing even stricter infection control measures to maintain its medical services. If any of the following apply to a patient referred to our hospital, please consult the receiving department before the patient comes to the hospital.
  1. In addition to upper respiratory symptoms, a fever of 37.5°C or higher persists
  2. In addition to upper respiratory symptoms, ocular symptoms (such as conjunctival hyperemia and increased eye discharge) and a rash have appeared.
